Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet mess in one session, without having to switch devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models with docks that let them automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has a lot to offer for its low cost and is one of the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start guide gets you running in no time with a full dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For instance, you could opt for the robot to take care of a thorough clean-up in the kitchen and living rooms but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models cannot. Its only minor issue is that it can crash into walls and objects at full speed. However, an instant glance at the history of cleaning in the app tells you exactly what it's doing, where it's going and the obstacles it's avoided.
The docking station features a handy LCD screen that indicates the time when maintenance is required for cleaning up debris and cleaning the dirty water tank. It also mixes detergent into the tank automatically by using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can last 136 mins in normal mode, prior to needing recharging or returning to the base. The app is simple to use and intuitive, allowing you to see every aspect of the cleaning.
2. made a post is the most recent version of the company's most popular robot mop and vacuum. It's not like the model from last year this one has two agitators in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that allows it to remove finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners could miss.
This Roborock model, like the other two I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it get around obstacles like walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining if they're walls or other surfaces. It will then automatically alter its path and clean around them without missing a beat.
It's the most expensive model I've tried, but it also has the most features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which restarts the cleaning process mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child-lock and a home button to take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin fills up automatically.
The only downside I've found with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if necessary) however, it's a hassle to take off the mount itself for manual washing. I've found any plush carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of intelligent features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and set up these smart features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor battery life and component maintenance. You'll have to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with outstanding suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its intelligent design allows you to customize and efficiently clean while saving time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum cleans up dry debris, including pet hair and crumbs. It also comes with a high-quality mop that leaves floors sparkling clean, even with a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet in operation, with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.
Another noteworthy feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brush, which allows it to get into difficult-to-access corners and clean furniture, such as tables and chairs' legs. The robot can also reach under furniture that is low-profile which makes it an ideal choice for small apartments or condos. The side brush also automatically tilts down when detecting wet spots. This is a nice addition that helps the X40 avoid damaging floors with the frequent back-and-forth movement.
In contrast to other robots that are limited to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop at the same time. It can also be programmed to skip areas with carpets and mop only hard floors, or vice versa. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.
The app is intuitive and easy to use, and the X40's smart features are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, look at mapping and floor plans and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress, and alert you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features which make it a good option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin, and clean mop pads before refilling them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It also can detect when the mop pad is overflowing and alert you before it overflows, reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It has several features that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to clean floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and it comes with an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, small dirt particles and pick up spills and dirt-stained spots.
The mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This is a great feature because it prevents the growth of odours and mould in storage, and also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen before on other robot mop and vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.
There's a wealth of settings on offer which include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a number of different preferences. The app lets you set these preferences or you can make use of the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and provides a variety of options for customising the cleaning routine, and there are many functions that other robots don't include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles, instead of relying on an individual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most elegant robots we've seen in the market, with metallic and white colors that is elegant and stylish. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this listing however it's not too heavy. It feels solid and well-constructed. The mopping system is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice feature.
